The Manufactures warranty applies 14 days from the day of purchase, no exchanges or refunds are possible after this time, only warranty repairs if applicable. Import Models a.k.a. Grey Market still do carry warranties but the warranties are only eligible over seas. The only way to have an import model warranted in the USA is by purchasing a worldwide warranty, which are offered under each product. There are relatively few differences between U.S. and Grey Market products, import models are less expensive because a new product that comes out in the USA has already been out for a couple of months over seas and generally the price drops after a couple of months, so when the product is released in the USA it is considered a new item on the market which should run at a higher price in the USA then over seas. All Import and USA models are made in the same facilities, except USA models are stamped with a USA stamp of approval which is solely backed by the manufacture in the USA and only the USA.
